Pilates Instructor

After working in banking for 10 years Leanne decided to follow her interest in Health and Wellbeing and became a Personal Trainer in 1998. She had a love and interest in playing sport from an early age, being involved in both athletics and netball at a representative level.

On moving to London in 2004 Leanne was looking for something new to try and found Pilates. After three sessions she was hooked and it took her on a journey of discovery on how Pilates could help correct the imbalances within her own body. She also learnt she had scoliosis in her thoracic spine and Pilates has been invaluable at helping her manage this.

After moving back to New Zealand in 2008 Leanne found the Physio Pilates Studio and in 2010 Simone Wagenaar arrived and became her teacher and later her mentor. With Simone’s encouragement and her own interest Leanne completed the BASI Comprehensive Teacher Training Program in 2014.

For the last 10 years she has worked from her home studio while maintaining a close connection to Physio Pilates Studio.

Leanne’s own journey in addressing body imbalances has prepared her well to observe others. This has given her the ability to help clients work towards their own goals, using Pilates to understand their body better.
